Asia Rugby is pleased to announce the list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the Asia Rugby Executive Committee, set to take place on November 8 during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bangkok, Thailand. The elections will determine key leadership roles within Asia Rugby, with the selected members poised to lead the organisation and shape the future of rugby across Asia over the next four years.
Positions Open for Election:
The following positions will be contested at the AGM:
Asia Rugby President & World Rugby Council Member (1 position)
Asia Rugby Deputy President (1 position)
Asia Rugby Vice Presidents (3 positions)
World Rugby Council Member (1 position)
Asia Rugby Executive Committee Members (7 positions)
The elected Executive Committee (EXCO) members will assume office immediately following the 2024 AGM and will serve a four-year term, concluding at the AGM in 2028. This election represents a significant milestone for Asia Rugby, as the newly elected leadership will seek to drive continued growth, inclusivity, and development of the sport throughout the region.
Formation of the Electoral Committee
Asia Rugby has appointed an Electoral Committee to oversee and ensure a fair and transparent electoral process. The committee members bring a wealth of experience in governance and regulatory processes.

Appointment of Scrutineers
In accordance with Asia Rugby’s governance protocols, the Electoral Committee has the authority to appoint two Scrutineers from non-voting members of the Council. The Electoral Committee will appoint Scrutineers. Scrutineers will be responsible for tallying votes and presenting the results to the Chairman of the AGM, ensuring a rigorous and transparent voting process.
