Match Officials Announced for Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series Leg in China
Asia Rugby has officially announced match officials for the second leg of the highly anticipated 2024 Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series set to take place from the 21st through to the 22nd of September at the Normal University Hangzhou, China.
The lineup of referees and officials features a diverse and experienced group, ensuring the highest standards of officiating for this prestigious tournament. The match officials for the opening this tournament leg include some of the most respected names in Asian rugby.

The following match officials have been carefully selected by Asia Rugby’s Selections and Appointments Panel and ratified by both the Asia Rugby Referees Committee and the Asia Rugby Chief Executive Officer.

To ensure that all match officials receive guidance and support, maintaining the consistency and accuracy of decisions throughout the event, the following have also been appointed:
Taku Otsuki (Japan Rugby Football Union) will be the Coach of Match Officials and shall also serve as the Television Match Official (TMO).
Dilroy Fernando will be overseeing the entire team of officials and, to further enhance the quality of officiating, Simon Dodd has been appointed as the Performance Reviewer.
