On June 18, 2020 the “Liga Stavok – Russian Rugby Championship” season will start in Russia. The opening game RC “Lokomotiv” (Penza) – RC, and “VVA-Moscow Region” (Monino) will start in Penza city (Russia) at 15:00 (Moscow time). Moreover, the Russian Rugby Championship will be the first professional sports league to start in Russia after the COVID-19 crisis.

The games will be held with special regulations approved by the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Health of Russia. Of course, there will be numerous restrictions associated with the prevention of coronavirus infection, such as reduced contact between athletes, fans, and staff, as well as mandatory testing on the eve of each game.
At the initial stage of the Russian Rugby Championship, government authorities gave permission to conduct matches with an occupancy rate of 10 percent of the capacity of the stadium.
