Guam Women’s Rugby Sevens team is at the Asia Rugby Sevens Trophy tournament in Jakarta this weekend.
The Women’s tournament includes 9 teams in 3 pools with Guam teamed up with a strong India team and newcomers Chinese-Taipei in Pool A.

The concurrent Men’s tournament has 12 teams participating. The respective winner’s of each tournament earn promotion to the Asia Rugby Seven’s Series (3 tournaments) for 2020.
The Guam team is captained by Olivia Elliott and Rosae Calvo. They are joined by seasoned players sisters Kayla Taguacta and Kimmy Tagiacta, twins Vina and Vana Terlaje and Paige Surber.
The side is rounded out by Patrisha Manlulu, and debutantes Hazel Ochavillo, Nikkie Paulino, and Tori Starr.
Paul Claros is coaching with assistance from Peter Baggetta while Erica Quichocho is Manager.

GUAM v Chinese-Taipei at 11.42 am Jakarta time ( 2.42 pm Guam time)
GUAM v India at 2.16pm (5.16 pm on Guam)
Playoff matches on Sunday start at 10.22 am (1.22 pm on Guam) with a second-round starting at 1.18 pm (4.18 pm on Guam) – Guam’s exact match times will depend on their placing after Day 1.)
The final round will start at 3.52 pm (6.52pm Guam time)
