The Uzbekistan Rugby Federation upped its efforts to grow the game at the grassroots,conducting the Get Into Rugby program at Government Schools in Tashkent’s Chilanzar district.
The Federation (URF), with permission from the regional Department of Public Education of Chilanzar, conducted the first Get Into Rugby session at Government School №184 of Tashkent.
Ms. Leila Golibovna, the school’s director, welcomed the introduction of rugby at the school. Twenty-eight girls and 47 boys participated in the introductory session along with the school’s three Physical Education teachers.
The session ended with a friendly game of touch rugby enjoyed by everyone.
